Brad’s Feb08 solo show at Galerie Maurer – Munich Germany

I am pleased to announce that I will have a solo show at Galerie Maurer in Munich Germany in Feb 2008. After seeing my work at the photographers:network show (Siegen Germany), Wolfgang Maurer bought 4 prints and offered me a solo show. photographers:network was curated by Diana Edkins (Aperture Foundation, NYC), Thomas Gerwers (PROFIFOTO, Germany), Nicole Stanner (Galerie f 5.6, Munich), and Burkhard Arnold (in focus, Cologne). Wolfgang Maurer has been wonderful to work with while preparing for this show.
Galerie Maurer specializes in contemporary photography and 20th century design objects. Wolfgang Maurer represents contemporary photographers such as Bruce Davidson, Jan Saudek, Thomas Kellner, and Anna Schudel.
I will have eighteen images (30″x40″ 76cm x 100cm) in the 4 gallery rooms.

Today, I attended the the Elizabeth Leach Gallery (17 NW 9th, Portland OR) holiday reception which was showing Fernando D’Agostino’s “Flight Studies.” D’Agostino collaborated with Dr. Bret Tobalske, a biomechanist who uses special imaging technology to capture the flight of the birds for scientific study.
Above is Dr. Bret & Mrs. Claudine Tobalske in front of Fernando D’Agostino’s images. As it turns out, I’ve always seen Claudine climbing at the Portland Rock Gym, but we’ve never really talked until this opening.
