Houston FotoFest Portfolio Reviews 2010 announced

The FotoFest organizers have announced the upcoming 2010 International Meeting Place Portfolio Review. Fotofest is held in Houston Texas every two years.
This is a great place for dedicated photographers to show their well-formed new series to top international & US curators, fine-art photography magazines, etc.
The Portfolio review will occur in four sessions between March 12 and April 1, 2010. Basically each day you get four-five one-on-one meetings (each 20 minutes) with a reviewer to show your portfolio and discuss your work. This can lead to shows, articles, or sometimes even just helpful advice on how to move your project forward.
The dates for the four sessions (each 4 days) are:
- Session 1: March 12 – March 15
- Session 2: March 17 – March 20
- Session 3: March 24 – March 27
- Session 4: March 29 – April 1

One last bit of advice is visit the Rothko Chapel while in Houston.
Registration for the 2010 Meeting Place will begin Summer 2009. The beginning and end of Meeting Place registration will be announced via the FotoFest Newsletter and on the FotoFest website at www.fotofest.org. Please visit the website for updates and more information.
The portfolio reviews area part of the FOTOFEST2010 which will occur March 12 through April 25, 2010 and will be dedicated to contemporary work by U.S. photographers with invited curators.

I would love to register for the 2010 FotoFest Meeting place reviews, however, in an hour of searching, I have yet to see any link or listing of HOW to actually register, other than to contact Marta or Sarah, and they don’t seem to return e-mails. Any ideas on how/where to actually register?

There they say: “The registration period is Monday, June 1 – Monday, July 13, 2009. Because of the enormous success of the Meeting Place and the number of applications we receive, FotoFest gives space to registrants based on a lottery system.The lottery will take place Tuesday, July 14, 2009. If your registration is not chosen in the lottery, your name will be put on the Meeting Place waiting list. Meeting Place Registration forms recieved after July 13 will be put on the waiting list in the order in which they are received.”
