Tears for Art in Chelsea
Nov 12th, 2012 by Brad
Still two weeks after Hurricane Sandy people in hard-hit areas are struggling to recover their homes in many places in New Jersey, Long Island and in neighborhoods like Greenpoint, Redhook, and Staten Island. Our hearts are broken for the losses of so many suffered so widely. Thousands are still without power. Thankfully it is starting to warm up after the snowstorm in NE. Please try to help with the clean-up efforts.
The storm surge hit the Chelsea art galleries. The work of many artists and art dealers were destroyed. Many are working to reopen.

Walking between dumpsters filled with drywall pulled from flooded galleries.
Flooded storage…
Rebuilding everywhere
Some galleries are open, others are working to reopen soon.
