Today is Mark Rothko’s birthday, September 25th. It has been 105 years since he was born. Rothko’s work must be seen in person. This is the view from the tree start to what we call 1.5 bowl at Mt Hood Meadows. Basically it is drop 7 feet, hard right turn (miss the trees) which drops you a total of about 20 feet to the far right (where it gets lighter in the image). I call this great fun! [...]

Rauschenberg’s “Runts” at PaceWildenstein Gallery (534 West 25th Street, NYC, Chelsea). These works are created from Rauschenberg’s archive of photographs, which he then transfers onto polylaminate mounted on aluminum panels.
