Andrea just saw the Edward Hopper show at MFA in Boston, said it was amazing. The exhibition’s info calls it, “first comprehensive survey of Edward Hopper’s career to be seen in American museums outside New York in more than 25 years.”

The 1910 Rosefriend Apartment building was coming down as the 1883 Ladd Carriage house was being moved up the street. Both of these are tied to the creation of the Ladd Towers designed by Ankrom Moisan.

Everything has a tight fit in Portland. Here is the 1883 landmark Ladd Carriage House which barely fitting between a couple of newcomers.
